Kat was weak and Zordon often chastized her for it. She was only a Ranger because Kim was being nice. In Zeo the writers tried to retcon and make her tougher. But I didn't buy it at all.

Maybe it was just the way the character was written, or the actresses portrayal, but she really just came across as a fill-in ranger. Her personality was very dull and at times annoying. Kimberly seem stronger, independent, and more vibrant.

I really liked Kat. What drew me in in the beginning was how she was under an evil spell and over came it. I rooted for her as she developed as a Ranger. She seemed like a good match for Tommy too..I am diffinitly a Tommy/Kat shipper.

I have nothing against Kimberly as a character. I just like Kat better. She really hsd a lot of character growth. She was around almost as Kim.

Now that I can agree with. I'm a sucker for people being under evil spells and overcoming them.

As far as Kat & Tommy, I was and am still pretty neutral on that front. They we're a good enough match for each other.

Thats one of the reasons I like Karone. And she as never under an evil spell. She was evil of her own free will. And only was infulenced when she became Cyber Astronema. Yet she was able to overcome her dark past and become a true hero. Plus she was a cool villain before that. But thats another subject.

I feel the same way about Karone. I loved her too and her journey. In some ways more than Kat. I really like both characters. I was so glad that when Karone came back in Galaxy. I didn't know Valiere was sick until after. So I am sorry to see it happened because of that. But at least it worked out for her.

I just didn't like how Karone acted goofy in Galaxy. She should have been more broody.
