Star Wars: What if Luke Killed Vader in Jedi?
What would have happened if Luke killed Vader in Jedi? Would he have fully turned to the dark side right away or would there be more to his fall? Anakin didn't tottally give in to the dark side when he killed Dooku.

He would have been compelled to serve the Emperor. Since the dark side enslaves everyone.

The Dark Side doesn't work like that. Its not mind control. A lot of dark siders are just blinded by there anger and hate. Also they feel like its too late to go back even when they have doubts.
Luke killing Vader with the dark side would have probably started him down the road of fully embracing it. I don't think he would have just started magically listening to the Emperor. Anakin took more prodding from Sedious before he was fully on board, even after killing Dooku. Anakin ultimately joined the Sith because he felt he could save Padme from his nughtmeres. Plus the lie that the Jedi were trying to take over made him feel a false sense of Justification. Luke would have had no reason to want to work for the empire. He may have turned to the dark side and actually killed the Emperor. |

Re: Star Wars: What if Luke Killed Vader in Jedi?
After watching the prequels and seeing all Palpetine manipulated Anakin made me wonder just how he thought Luke was going to do the same thing. Since Anakin was manipulated by the sith lord for more than a decade and Luke only just meant him in Jedi.
But I have come to realize that Luke killing Vader would have just been the beginning of his greater fall. Palpetine probably figured that killing his own father and seeing all his friends destroyed would make it impossible for Luke to go back to the good side. It would break hi. enough where he might just end up serving the Sith because he has no one else. |

Who says Darth Luke would have ended up with Sedious anyway? The Emporer was over confident. He thought he could control Luke like Anakin. Even if Luke turned to the dark side he probably would have become an even more dangerous enemy.

Luke woumd never truely turn to the dark side. He wasn't an evil tool like his father.

I think Sedious was willing to take that chance. Since the Sith Way was for the aprentice to overtake the master. Sedious consciously didn't want that to happe right away. But he knew that his aprentice would eventually try to overthrow him like any Sith would.

I wonder what his Sith name would have been?

Re: Star Wars: What if Luke Killed Vader in Jedi?
Sedious never thought Luke would allude his grasp until he refused to kill Vader. It seems short sighted of him that he could just turn Luke without knowing him for years like Anakin. But Sedious always seemed to get his man and all his big plans worked out in the long run. So its not a big surprise that he was so arrogant and confident about it.

Sedious also was confident that Luke wouldn't be powerful enough to kill him yet.
