Default What should happen if Power Rangers is still on TV in 2225?

If Power rangers is still on tv in the year 2025 should that years season be a tribute season to spd, a sequel season to spd or just a normal season ?

That depend on the Sentai series that the 2025 season will be based upon. I was hoping that 2025 will be a rerun of the SPD season.

It will likely just be a normal season since I don't expect any of the writers to return back to a team that they aren't familiar with.

Yeah, they will probbly just ignore SPD and we will have to assume that New Tech city was some kind of special city where aliens were allowed and SPD was based. Unless you want to consider SPD an alternate future.

How about just retconing SPD as an alternate possible future? (Time Force however would remain as the actual future)

They could use timeline is divergentmodel, where the flow of time is like a straight horizontal line and if you go back in time and change something in the past, you don't change the future but instead create a separate line from the point you changed, thus creating two possible futures that branch out in their own way.

Hey, it may sound a little complicated but trust me-this is a simple theory in comparison to any of that "dimension x" or Hexagon stuff Amit came up with.

Some people might say "at that point why bother with continuity at all? Other long running shows often retcon", yeah well none of those shows keep reminding you of how awesome the first season was. If they're gonna keep referencing and throwing continuity nods to MMPR, they should give 'em to the other seasons too.

Nothing major, but an acknowledgment here and there couldn't hurt could it? Disney surprisingly did it surprisingly well.

Other seasons might not have been "as awesome as MMPR" but they all contributed to keeping PR alive for 20 years. In fact, Turbo might have been bad but if we didn't get Turbo, we might not have gotten In Space.

Unfortunately Time Force could be retconned as well if the show gets that far but it wouldn't with the same crew members... all of the crew members would be new.
A lot of the adult fans also wouldn't exist then either since a lot of us would be way too old to the point that we would already be gone.

2025's Power Rangers season will be called Power Rangers Bad Ass Mother Fuckers Electric Boogalo Mother Funky Dollar Bill Stir.

In it the Rangers are members of some SCP Foundation like group that arrests mutant, alien, robotic, and supernatural criminals.

And every episode is like a Power Rangers version of Cops where there's no real plot other than the Rangers arresting random monsters.

Like one episode will have a monster that's based on either a computer or television, and when the Rangers arrest it they're like "his head's definitely stolen, that's the least of his problems".

And the bad guy is Jackson Highhat Merrywheather Ferguson though he just goes by Jack Ferguson, and he's a horribly mutated public service announcement writer who only became a supervillain because he watched a bunch of movies, and TV shows, and thought that even he could be a supervillain, and one day he got super powers, and was like "fuck it".
