I think they will keep his origins mostly the same. Perhaps adding to it like they are with him being a Ranger. Zordon's origins would translate well to a movie universe. No need to mess with it too much.

true but my issue is that Zordon was never shown as being too proactive in fighting villains on his own since we only ever saw his body really once... as far as we're aware of he only had teams in the past that couldn't morph which kind of ruins things if they wanted to keep it in continuity with the series.

I'm not too worry about them ruining Zordon and his body since he did have a body in the past in the series it was shown in a brief flashback in the Power Rangers Punks episode but it was a scene that was shown in the Viewing Globe.

I like that we are going to see Zordon and Rita fight. And it seems like they aren't straying too far from the main storyline. So it all seems good so far.

thing is it was stated they wanted it to be kept IN CONTINUITY with the television series..

Yea indeed it was... all we knew is that he wore clothing that was like Barza's but we have no clue about his other features such as his skin color and whether that was a special suit or if it was something typical for Eltarians or Eltarian wizards to wear.

I think its clear now that the new movie will be its own continuity. There rebooting MMPR for a mass audience. I think they just want it to honor the franchise and be true to it.

I hate that ... I think everything should be in continuity. I won't be watching the new movie if if that is the case. They can't redo MMPR. Its impossible to make lightening strike twice. Its bad enough they ruined RPM by taking it of continuity. And the parrellel world bullshit doesn't work at all. This isn't Sliders.
