Dual Queenship?
So this is something I have never really thought about before (kinda surprising, considering how long I've been into Sailor Moon...)
But why are there TWO queens for the Dark Kingdom? Isn't that a little contradictory? I always felt it was a little odd, especially since Metallia actually acknowledges Beryl as 'Queen', even though we all know she's the true leader of the Dark Kingdom. From what little I admittedly know of monarchies, isn't a 'dual monarchy' highly unusual? I mean, there isn't Queen Elizabeth II ruling alongside Queen Sarah or anything. Any thoughts? Or perhaps this is just one of those moments where you just have to nod your head in agreement and just say, "Yes, dear." |

Re: Dual Queenship?
While both Metallia and Beryl are Queens, only Beryl is truly part of the Dark Kingdom. Metallia was not part of the Kingdom originally and she only allied herself with Beryl because she wanted someone to give her power so she could cause destruction on her own.

Always liked how the dub mde Metallia the Negaforce and not a Qween. More like an evil enity. Which she basically was. Never understood why there were two Qweens. But Matt's answer makes sense.

Re: Dual Queenship?
that was an interesting change that the DiC made... she should have been an entity anyway... and my answer regarding the 2 was based on what I'm gathering from the Sailor Moon Crystal version of the show.
