I really think any team or season of Sailor Moon would work. It would just be the matter of telling the right story.

Kat could try to steal Darrien from Serena. The Rangers have to help the Sailor Soldiers get him back. Then Tommy gets captured since Kat wants both all to herself. In the end Serena tries to heal Kat but she is pure evil. So both teams defeat her and banish her to the negaverse with Queen Beryl. Tommy and Darien both resists her evil charms in the proccess. Tommy/Kim and Darien/Serena are maried in a double ceremony.

I think the Mystic Force team would have been a good fit for a team up. I think the magical powers would play off well against the Sailor Gauardians. Who seemed to rely on magic too.
