Can Rangers morph without a Morpher?

I saw a topic like this over at rangerboard and I thought it was an interesting topic so I decided to post it over here but instead of just focusing it on MMPR I thought I would make it a general topic that would focus on the series as a show.

Now we have seen some evidence of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers using their Power Coins to morph without needing a Power Morpher. Tommy was able to do this, the Wild West Rangers were able to do this and the Alien Rangers themselves did not even have Morphers.

The Gold Ranger did not have the same kind of Morpher that the other Zeo Rangers did he used his Staff in order to activate his powers as was evident when Jason was using his powers.

The Galaxy Rangers did not need the Transmorphers to morph since they were able to morph into their Ranger forms as soon as they had gotten the Quasar Sabers.

All of the others however I do believe needed their Morphers in order to morph.

Didn't the Morphers appear on the Galaxy Rangers right before they first morphed?

I remember Tommy morphing with just his power coin when Zordon charged him up.

I always assumed they did, guess I should check for that next time I watch "Quasar Quest".

yea they were Morpherless on the wrists until you saw them in the Megaship and even then you could even really see the Transmorpher on Maya's wrist.

Must have been due to them getting their powers. They were instantly morphed after recieving the powers.

Maybe the last chosen ones forgot to turn the lights off or something.

yup exactly Leo and the others hold their Sabers up pointing them to the sky and that's what caused the insta-morph but kinda makes me wonder if others could do the same.

Turbo, Space, Lightspeed, Time Force, Wild Force, Ninja Storm and teams like those they need their Morphers.
