Default Was the Shadow World & the Underworld the same?

Just wondered since they both seem to be where evil lives/goes when they die was there any difference between the two (other than they appeared in different seasons)?

Power Rangers seemed to have three "Hells" actually, you had Hexuba's Graveyard where LG monsters go, the Shadow World where demons (And a few MMPR & Zeo monsters) go, and the Abyss of Evil where NS monsters go.

Could Hexuba's Graveyard actually be considered a hell though? I always assumed it was the opposite of Charon's (the ferryman) realm or position in Hades. Instead of carrying the dead to the underworld to suffer (or whatever), she would take them out of the PRU equivalent of Hell and give them life again.

I believe the Shadow World was meant to be their own version of the fiery underworld but like CD said Power Rangers has a lot of different versions of their own underworld.

Lightspeed had the Shadow World.
Wild Force had the Spirit World.
Ninja Storm had the Abyss of Evil.
Mystic Force has its own underworld which is technically their entire base/lair.
The Netherworld could be seen as a variation of an underworld.

One of the reasons the shadow world was thought of as place where all the monsters go is because of a figure that looked like Rita appearing in the background. So some people took it to be Rita or her evil esssense. Plus it was the first time we saw a monster afterlife.

I would like to think that all the afterlifes are connected somehow. Especially since we have had plenty of seasons where monsters are ressurected.

very true.

MMPR could bring back monsters regardless of whether it was through Finster or Zedd.

The Machines could just rebuild them.

Lightspeed could've revived them.

Wild Force could've revived Orgs.

The Abyss of Evil would've revived Lothor and his army.

Venjix could've just rebuilt the same ones if he wanted to.
