Maybe a simple team up with the available MMPR Rangers would have been more doable. They tried to do too much. I know they were at the mercy of the Sentai Footage for the classic transformations as well.

I didn't mind the morphs, I just wish Legendary Battle had more of a point.

Agreed. Legendary Battle should have been a two-part episode featuring the events that led to it with the cast members making cameo appereances. Just switch Goseiger with Shinkenger suits and have the Samurai cast do VA. Use only adapted teams, come up with a great coreography with good debut points for each Veteran Ranger and have them loose their powers at the end. Cut to Ninjor (silent cameo only) inside a space ship/shuttle looking towards the Ranger energies flying away from Earth. Episode 3: Introduce Orion as the leader of his home planet who chooses the new team of Rangers. They travel to Earth because of an intel that the powerful Ranger Keys are scattered all over it and that they are the only way to defeat the Armada's forces, which has made havoc in multiple galaxies all across the universe.

They could have debuted with that two parter and set up the new team for the rest of the season. Remember Legendary Battle Footage was actually from the first episode of Gokaiger.

Or they could have the Megaforce Rangers loose their powers, go MMAR path and just use a completely new cast for Super Megaforce. Additionally, they could have had the story be set up so that the Legendary Battle has already happened during the Megaforce Rangers' final battle so they could be creative and show the Warstar aliens working with the Armada. In another words, the Megaforce Rangers' final battle could be a part of it in a way. It would have made up for the lack of 199 Heroes movie exclusive footage.

I would have done the Legendary Battle in the beginning,have it lead to.the Ranger Keys, and then do another big team up in the end.

Additionally, they could have him cameo in the Zeo and DinoThunder tribute episodes where he could return to his mentor role. T.J. and/or Cassie could've done both Turbo and In Space tribute episodes, Damon, Leo & Karone Lost Galaxy, Carter and Dana could have shown up in the adaptation of the GoGo V's tribute episode, Wes could have easily been in the Time Force tribute episode and could have easily reprised his double role of Alex and Wes and any of the WF cast could do the Wild Force tribute. Same with Ninja Storm - they could have just filmed original footage where the SM Rangers transform into the 3 Wind, 2 Thunder and the Green Samurai NS Ranger (in case of being unable to get the 3 Winds onboard), S.P.D. (if they're unable to make Cruger to make a cameo), Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive and R.P.M. The Samurai and Jungle Fury tributes were just fine, so they could have easily worked as they are.

That’s assuming that they could even skip Goseiger which they probably couldn’t. The skipping thing was likely finally approved due to the utter disaster that Megaforce became

I don’t think it would have been very realistic to get even one of every team since you would need to pay to fly certain ones out which wouldn’t have been worth the cost

It would have made more sense if someone with Time Force was there for the episode that Orion gets his zord in considering it comes from their time

They could strike a deal wirh Toei to skip Goseiger, do Gokaiger in favor of the big anniversary coming up and then go back to Goseiger. I mean, it was PR's 20th anniversarry.

Or they do the more expensive and complicated root and could film original footage and have the Rangers use their Power Cards to morph into previous teams and just use as much of Gokaiger footage as possible for the ground fights. That could work in their favor very well: they could have norrowed down the episodic appereances of the Veteran Rangers to just the most important ones who would represent the most fan favorite seasons. For this, the selection of Rangers from the Legendary Battle episode could work really well:
Tommy > MMPR, Zeo, Turbo, DinoThunder
Cassie > Turbo, In Space
Leo/Damon/Karone > Lost Galaxy
Carter/Dana > Lightspeed Rescue
Wes > Time Force
Casey > Jungle Fury
Jayden/Ji/Mike/Emily > Samurai

The only seasons that would't get represented by their cast members would be Wild Force, Ninja Storm, S.P.D., Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive and R.P.M.. That's still LESS then half missing proper tribute episodes with their respective cast members making cameos in them, even if you ignore the fact the MMPR is 3 a seasons long series. The episodes could work something alike: the Warstar aliens send a General to fight the Rangers (by using establishing shots of Goseiger's villains and Gokaiger's generals) but for the Megazord fights, it would be all Goseiger footage so MMPR S02's "Megazord fights split-scenes" situation is avoided.

Sure, this would probably get us robbed of the awesome main Gokaiger suits and Zords, but at least we woud have a proper hybrid season with a proper storyline where the 6th Ranger powers are just assigned to one of the main 5 Rangers, depending on who a certain episode is all about. Now, Gokai Silver and some of the Gokaiger stuff would still have to be refilmed to include the Goseiger suits fighting the Gokaiger villains and footsoliders. They could also re-film the Gokaiger Megazord cockpit scenes featuring the Goseiger suits as well since they would eventually have to switch to Gokaiger Megazord stuff in the second half of the series - whihc would have given the Super prefix in the season's official title at least some purpose and sense.
