Re-living SM the Classic series: Episode 1 Discussion

Im assuming people now have the new VIZ DVD in their hands. So I figured it's time we re-live the journey.

Every four days I'm going to put up a Classic Series discussion thread, so by the time we finish the first set of episodes, the second set will be out.

You can talk about the VIZ dub.
Or the English Subtitles.

Episode 1 of the Classic Series, Does it still hold up today?

I've seen the viz subbed. I think the episode still holds up well. It gives you a basic intro to the character. Almost every incarnation has followed the basic plot. Granted the episode is based of of Act One of the manga.
