What if Bioman was the first Power Rangers, and Saban still adapted Metal Hero?
This may sound weird but after finding out that Bioman was almost the first Power Rangers it made me wonder if he would have still done his other superhero shows.
On one hand I heard that he first got the idea to do Metal Hero because he saw Metalder which was why it was adapted into Cybertron, and later VR Troopers in the first place. So maybe we would have just got Cybertron 6 years earlier when the footage was new. On the other hand I can see him still using Spielban, and Shaider but also using Gavan, Sharivan, and Juspion, and making a show out of that either some proto VR Troopers called Hyperspace Troopers or Star Warriors, or just having a lone hero show where the hero starts off as Gavan but later upgrades into the other space Metal Heroes. |

I don't think PR would have been nearly the hit that it was. Not saying that it would be impossible. But a lot of MMPR's success was timing and the right Sentai. Zyuranger's Dino theme was perfect. We just don't know how big PR would have been in the late 80s or if it would have been at the right time like MMPR. Its hard to say.
VR Troopers probably would have been better received if it came out in that period. But whose to say if that would have led to a lot more success. But the Sentai footage wouldn't have looked as old. |
