Default Re: X-Men: (1992 Classic Series Discussion)

The series first exposed me to the X Men Universe and was very ahead of its time. There were a lot of mature storylines for a childrens tv show. It was also very true to the X Men mythos. The X Men movies probably owe a lot of their success to the original cartoon. Since it introduced a whole generation to X Men who hadnt read the comics before. Plus it showed that the brand could translate beyond the comics. I dont know if X Men was well known outside of comic book circles back then. Superman, Spiderman, Hulk and Batman were the household names to the general public at the time.
