Grimlord's Dark Secret

What did you think of this episode?

Me I thought it was pretty good actually I can count the problems with it on one hand, and even they're more nitpicks then anything.

There's the obvious thing about them not finding out Ziktor was Grimlord in the end even though they never wrapped up that story.

But it's mostly because it seems like there is a lot of things they could have done like having Ryan just take the book, and give it to JB, Kaitlin, and Nebraska Smith, and then looked at it when they got to the lab.

There's also how all the characters need to remind us that the Box of Isis opens doorways to other dimensions, and that the Isis dimension holds the secret of Grimlord's identity every five minutes.

Other than that it's a pretty good episode sure it's no Defending Dark Heart or Quest for Power but it's at least a Battle Begins or Rise of the Red Python at least it's better than Kaitlin through the Looking Glass.

I just wish they kept the Box of Isis at the end for the same reason I wish they had Tyler Steele more on the show during the second season.

Because, and this may sound weird this was when they still had the Battle Grid, and they added the Indigo Sector, and then they brought in Knighttime who had his own virtual universe, and when the Troopers got sent to Knighttime's universe they transformed into Battle Grid Troopers.

So it was obvious there where all sorts of Virtual Reality dimensions that I wish got explained more.

If there is a reason for VR Troopers to have a third season, 'Grimlord's Dark Secret show how many stories could be milked from this episode.

Indeed but I would have just settled for season 2 ending with an episode that wrapped up the plots they had set up the way Quest For Power wrapped up the plot from season 1.

I feel this episode was a waste, as how come the troopers NEVER DISCOVER his identity, this episode cheated us. What was the pt of this 2 parter?

My guess is they were saving that for the Season 2 finale/Season 3 premiere in much the same way Defending Dark Heart revealed that Dark Heart was Tyler Steele but Quest for Power was when they permanently rescued him.

I'll admit I wish they had made The Disk a two parter, and have that episode explain the origins of VR, and Grimlord, and reveal that he's really a person.

Then have something like this as a finale but reveal that Grimlord is Ziktor.
