Why was the Lost Galaxy such an after thought?
 

For a show called "The Lost Galaxy", it was weird how they didn't actually go there until the second half. And then it was just a miniseries that had little to do with the main storyline. I always thought that was strange. It was like they were biding their time into the finale.

yea I agree it's always possible that they could've had bigger plans for it but things got in the way namely Valerie needing to undergo treatment for leukemia, Patricia originally agreeing to take over for her to the point that they had filmed an episode how much of the episode was filmed is unknown but what is known is that she had later changed her mind due to what she was being paid so they had gotten Melody to take over as the Pink Ranger and there's probably other things that were changed that we don't even know about.

The funny part is you can take out the Lost Galaxy Arch and lose nothing from the main storyline.

Well there is the big episode with Mike freeing the slaves and losing his powers.

You just do an episode with Terra Venture encountering Mutiney's slave planet. Doesn't have to be in the Lost Galaxy.

They must have used a ton of Sentai Footage. The special effects looked a lot different from prior in the season.

When I first heard about the season, I wondered if it was gonna be about the Space Rangers being stuck in the Lost Galaxy. Until I read the interviews with Danny and Valiere in Fox Kids Magazine. Of course after Space I thought PR was over lol.

They just ran out of ideas and made things even more boring. Then we got the most illogical finalie in pr history.

I wish they would have done the ancient Ranger plot that was talked about instead. But it may not have come as close to happening as we originally hoped.

So much of LG good and bad was due to unplanned behind the scenes stuff.
