Lightspeed Rangers ages?
 

How old do you think the Lightspeed Rangers were? Keep in mind that Lightspeed was pretty much a government agency. You'd assume that they would have to be, at the very least, 21 years old. I looked up Alison MacInnis, who was born in 1980, which means on the show would have been 20 years old in real life. But for cannon's sake, I would assume she was a bit older.

I'm looking for clarification for a fan fic I'm working on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To be fair you can't assume anything in the Power Rangers universe since our laws go out the window. Putties can drive and P-trons can ride.

That being said Captain said he had been training Dana for 18 years so I would think that would be a good starting point not to mention Ryan resurfaced on his 20th birthday which is another good indicator that you don't have to be 21 to join Lightspeed also keep in mind that he (Ryan) had referred to her (Dana) as his little sister which would also seem to indicate that she's younger than 20.

The Fox Kids Magazine did list their age but I can't remembwr exactly. You guys have the right age ranges.

Thats one of the problems with those seasons. The characters were too old and not high school kids anymore.

Ryan's implication is that Dana was younger than 20 and that's too old? The senior Turbo Rangers were at best 18 and even the newer Turbo Rangers (minus Justin) were about 17 and that's if you take into account the U.S. school system of which as we all know we can't do.

I always hated how they were old. PR teams should always be teenagers

no they shouldn't a Power Ranger is a warrior that's meant to fight for the greater good so there should be no age requirement involved.

The nature of the season made it more sense to have llder Rangers.

The problem wasn't their ages. The Lightspeed Rangers were just boring characters. Only Joel was interesting but not enough to save the season.

It would have been nice to have them be teens. But the big problem was the characters just weren't interesting. The only exception is Joel. Who was very fun. His interactions with Fairweather saved the season for me. They tried to make Dana funny in the second half, but it didn't work.

I like it better when Power Rangers are young adults as opposed to teens.

Why the best seasoms had the Ranger be teenagers with attitude.

I really liked the older Rangers too. It waa also cool that they all had jobs that related to their powers. It gets boring when the Rangers are always teenagers.

Lightspeed would have been better with teens. I did like Joel and his chasing after Fairweather. It wS all pretty funny.

Age don't matter to me, its how well th characters are written.

Given the nature of Lightspeed Rescue as a military operation, it made sense to use young adults. I think the SPD Rangers were in the same age range. Not to forget Time Force.

no doubt and so do I since Bridge had mentioned when he time traveled to 2004 that he was born in that year which would make him probably 21 years old if he already had his birthday in 2025.

The problem with Lightspeed wasn't the ages. Its just that it was boring, especially compared to the space seasons. I wish they at least tied the powers with the space powers like most fans wanted.

I don't see how the type of season R was, would have lent itself to teen Rangers.

Their ages were fine. I could have understood one teen Ranger though.

It doesn't matter what ages any Ranger Team is. Its alk about the stories and characterizations.
