I don't like the new Movie Rita
 

Her costume looks just wrong. She looks more like a re-imagined Scorpina than another Rita. Shouldn't her costume look more like the classic costume? I am gonna give her a chance when I see the film but don't like what I see so far. Seems like there trying to hard to be overly dark.

I love it. Seeing stuff like that has actually given me a little confidence that they won't mess this up. That and the fact the TV people aren't involved in this. Its about time PR is actually good again. I hope I am not disappointed for the millionth time.

yea I completely agree with her costume but I also feel the same way with the Ranger suits as well since they just don't look the same to me since they're not similar to the TV design but I will probably give the movie a chance just not right away. I don't mind the movie being dark as long as it still captures the same feeling that the TV show does since we've had dark seasons before namely Time Force, Wild Force and RPM even though the choice of actors had ruined some Wild Force characters.

She does look more like Scorpina to me. That was probably why their was some rumor about Scorpina being the big bad before. Which was false of course.

I like that we are seeing a lot of differences. It shouldn't be the same old MMPR. This is a big screen reboot. That doesn't mean they should totally eliminate the core of the franchise. But I have no problem with them being different. The original Rita worked for its time but it would be hard to duplicate. Especially in a big budget movie that is meant to be taken seriously.

Its too bad this movie couldn't have been a sequel using an upgraded version of the MMPR Powers. Scorpina as the main villain would have made sense.

I think they should have made a movie about Power Rangers In Space first. That would have sold to the masses if done right. Plus you don't have to worry about turning MMPR into a serious movie that the original concept really doesn't seem suited for.

I hate when they try to make every reboot dark. Why can't they just make it fun?

Well it doesn't have to be super dark and serious. Its just going to be a movie that is for all audiences and not just for kids. I would say something with the tone of Avengers or Transformers would work.

As long as there is no uncomfortable zany humor like the first transformers have. And hopefully a bit more plot.
