Did your Power Rangers really get bought by Hasbro? This would indeed be a dark day if it is true.

No Hasbro is their new toy partner starting in 2019. The press release mentioned that their is some sort of option for Hasbro to buy Power Rangers outright after so many years. But as of right now Saban Brands still owns the series.

Well thats a relief. I thought Hasbro did something stupid and bought the series. I don't like them partnering with them. I don't know why they are wasting their time. Doesn't that Bamboo Company make the Corny Rangers toys? I can't remember their name so I probably got it wrong.

not quite. Saban still owns the franchise but this past week it was revealed that they're not renewing their partnership with Bandai of America for the merchandise rights and the merchandise rights is what Hasbro bought.

I can't see why they did that since they are wasting their time with Power Rangers. I don'tn't even understand why that show is still on.

Some of us who still watch the series wonder that sometimes. But it still sells toys. So its actually pretty valuable to Power Rangers.

You could say that. I am a huge transformers fan. I heard they bought Power Rangers, so I did a search for a PR board to confirm. Luckily it wasn't as bad as I thought.

I don't know how you guys can stand it. Power Rwngers is just wo corney and clearly isn't for adults like transformers. I really don't want Hasbro to lower themselves to working with them. But at least they didn't buy it.

The brand being valuable to Hasbro? Sorry but that makes me laugh. Those toys can't still sell that well. Its not like adults collect them.

Power Rangers has always been a strong toy brand. Its right up there with Transformers .

Power Rangers is an evergreen brand. Transformers has been around longer ane has more mainstream appeal in a lot of way. But Power Rangers is a powerful brand in its own right.
