Acronym for Zord?

Hey all,
Being a longtime fan of Japanese giant robots and other mecha, I'm
rather fond of Senti/Power Rangers and its many contributions to the
field. However, the term "Zord" has long irritated me -- ever since the
second set of Zords (the Thunderzords, originally from Dairanger)
showed up. Since the mecha were no longer DINOzords, the "Zord" part
became, well, kinda lame.

In an attempt to resolve this issue (I know, its only an issue in my
head...) I came up with an acronym for ZORD. I was wondering if anyone
else has done the same?

My acronym for ZORD is:
Zoomorphic
Overdrive
Recombining
Defender

I'm rather fond of it, but unfortunately "Zoomorphic" isn't a great fit
-- it means animal-shaped, so its not much use for the many
vehicle-shaped Zords. The only other decent "Z" word I can come up with
is "Zenith", but that seems to render the rest of my acronym kinda
generic. Hmmm... perhaps:

ZoRD =
Zenith
of
Robotic
Development

Hm. I dunno.

Anyone else have any good ZORD Acronyms?

Grebo

(I also have a serial number system for Zords... but I'll save that for
later.)

Re: Acronym for Zord?

My guess is the original thread you started got lost amongst the spate
of truly stupid porn-threads started around the same time.
I admit to thinking that the "zord" was certainly, indeed, springing
off of dinosaur. But as my psychic powers and a certain lack of
research on the subject, I don't know what actually was on their minds.
They kept it because of tradition, I suppose.

I didn't mind the acronyms.

I'm not sure if there really is an acronym for zord I personally feel it was just an abbreviation for Zordon himself but basing it on his name but if we really wanted to create an acronym for the word "Zord" then I think this one could be a good one...

Zenith
offensive
rigorous
defending assault vehicles
