They should have just used more realistic using spandex suits in the movie. It would have been cheaper than CGI. And its not ridicules, look at Spiderman?

they were just costumes basically the only CGI stuff would have been the Putties, the zords and maybe perhaps even Goldar?

Interesting..Then maybe it won't be too costly to do more original fight footage in the sequels. They can keep the zord fights to a minimum if budget is an issue.

The original suits are the best. But I think the movie ones are good. I just wish they got more screentime.
