What is Camille?
 

Camille seemed different then most of the other villains. Aside from Dai Shi ( when he possessed Jarrod), she seemed more human. But she was seemingly immortal. And had characteritics based off her animal forum ( her tongue sticking out and being able to "eat" Flit). Also I don't think Dai Shi's forced would have liked having a human in their midsts. Of course they did treat her like a lesser being for most of the series.

Perhaps, its possible that she was once human. Maybe her Chameloen Self was actually a worrier that possessed a human host. And after so long the two beings became one.

But if Camille was simply just another of Dai Shi's army, we already saw that their was potential for goodness for them ( the general with the Tiger Spirit that helped Casey). So its not a stretch that Camille would have been capable of having feelings for Jarrod and turning good. Dai Shi's followers weren't neccessarly pure evil. They may of just chose that path. Dai Shi himself seemed pure evil. But that could just be due to centuries of following the dark path.

It's possible that her monster form is her true form but she can appear human since she is after all a chameleon.

I agree, it was certainly implied that because of her Chameleon Spirit that she was capable of choosing any form that she wanted outside of her Monster Form.
