Judging by the storyline that will introduce Dominic, it doesn't appear they'll be adapting the synopsis of Ken being Ran and Retsu's superior. Instead, he seems linked to RJ.

Which to me makes no sense given what we've actually seen, but they seem stuck on this whole "Red Ranger is the leader" nonsense. I liked how Overdrive never named Mack the leader of the team, because there really wasn't that dynamic.
