Power Rangers: Lion Force Episode 3 "Death of the Curse: Part 3" By DinoBot Setting: Somewhere on Mirinoi Lion Ranger is standing in a clearing in the jungle. Still morphed he roars in pain, the roar echoing out all over Mirinoi. Setting: Terra Venture Preliminary repair work has begun on the damage that Lion Ranger caused. The citizens stop and look around, hearing the roar but not knowing where it came from. Setting: Somewhere on Mirinoi Lion Ranger collapses to his knees as the energy surges crackle over his armour. This time, his armour briefly flickers, then returns to normal. Lion Ranger pulls himself into a sitting position against a rock and blacks out. Setting: Terra Venture - hospital The Rangers are gathered around Maya's bed. The Yellow Galaxy Ranger still hasn't moved. Kai: I'm concerned about Lion Ranger. Leo: What? Kai, how can you be concerned about him? He's a vicious MURDERER! Kai: I know, but did you see the power surges on his armour, and the way his head kept twitching? Something's wrong with him. Kendrix: Maybe it's his conscience. Damon: I'll bet he doesn't have one. Kendrix: I'm serious, it could be. Remember when Magna Defender tried to destroy the colony to get at Scorpius? Torozord kicked him out. Maybe Lion Ranger's armour is trying to do the same thing. Leo: We should ask Jerra what he knows. Maybe he can tell us something that can help the next time Lion Ranger rears his ugly head. Setting: Somewhere on Mirinoi Lion Ranger lands in a dense, un-explored region of the forest. He looks around, as if searching for something. He sees something glinting in the sunlight, and walks towards it. It's a large golden plaque, embedded in a stone column. He brushes away the cobwebs and vines with his hand. The plaque has a picture etched into it, a picture of a large lion. Lion Ranger: I will not have time to call upon you this time, but when next I return.... He fades off as the energy surges hit him once again. He roars in anger and thrust out his hands. In them appear the Fire Sabre and the Vibra-Lance. Still roaring in pain, Lion Ranger's boot thrusters kick into action, and going faster then before, he rockets skywards, then heads towards Terra Venture. Setting: Terra Venture - Comet Café The four remaining Rangers look at the burnt out husk that was once the Comet Café. Kai: Do you really think it will work? Leo picks up a burnt piece of wreckage. Leo: It has to. If we don't, this could happen to the whole colony. He tosses the piece of wreckage onto the floor. Kendrix: I just hope our little 'guilt trip' works. If not, then we're up the creek without a paddle. The sound of an explosion can be heard. The teens look around and see citizens running from a burning building in the distance. Kai: Looks like we get a chance to test your theory, Kendrix. Leo: Ok, let's DO IT! All: GO GALACTIC! (Lost Galaxy Transformation Sequence) Setting: Terra Venture - Industrial District Lion Ranger swings the Fire-Lance and destroys a water filter. Lion Ranger: Ohh, wholesale destruction, havoc and chaos - a nice day out for ALL. The four Galaxy Rangers arrive on the scene, their Quasar Sabres drawn and tensed for battle. Lion Ranger turns to face them. Lion Ranger: Ahh, like lambs to the slaughter. So you come to meet your DOOM. Green Ranger: What about all the INNOCENT humans you are hurting? They've done nothing to you. Pink Ranger: CHILDREN are getting HURT. Lion Ranger: I don't give a FRAG about children, humans, or ANYONE for that matter. All that I care about is MY VENGEANCE! Lion Ranger and Red Ranger charge at each other, weapons held ready. Lion Ranger gets the first move and swings the Fire-Lance across Red Ranger's chest. Blasts explode across his chest, knocking him back. Lion Ranger whirls around and fires a dozen fireballs at the other Rangers, knocking them down. The Rangers slowly try to get up. Lion Ranger makes the Fire-Lance glow and throw blasts of energy from them which sends the Rangers flying through the air. They crash down and de-morph. Lion Ranger: You should know by now: I WIN and YOU LOSE. And now, it's time to go kill, maim and DESTROY! With those words ringing in the Ranger's ears, Lion Ranger jets off into the sky, laughing insanely. Setting: Terra Venture - Central Command Commander Stanton and the High Council members are in an emergency meeting on how to stop Lion Ranger. High Council Renier: I say we use every available weapon at our disposal to stop him. Commander Stanton: What good will that do? The Power Rangers couldn't even stop him. Before anyone can say anything, the alarms blared out. The monitors flickered into life and showed Lion Ranger walking down the main high street. Commander Stanton: All GSA troops to battle stations. The Lion Ranger has returned and he must be stopped, no matter the cost. Setting: Terra Venture As the GSA troops arrive on the scene, the Power Rangers are already engaging Lion Ranger with their Quasar Sabres, and they are losing. Lion Ranger: This is getting boring. I had hoped for more of a challenge, but I can't have everything. Hey, maybe I should heat things up, a LOT.... He swings the Fire-Lance in a figure eight in front of him, and dozens of small fire tornados appear. With a roar, he slams the Fire-Lance into the ground, sending the fire tornados away in different directions. They ignite four buildings, four cars, the rest fizzle out when they hit a fountain. He then aims the Fire-Lance at the GSA troops and fires several fireballs at them. Lion Ranger (laughing): How's your Yellow Ranger? Well, I hope. He back flips out of the way and lands on top of a car. He aims the Fire-Lance directly down and fires it, destroying the car instantly. The Galaxy Rangers waited, wanting to know if Lion Ranger had killed himself. Suddenly, he walks out of the fire, twirling the Fire-Lance. Lion Ranger: Can't catch me, Rangers. Instead of flying away, Lion Ranger runs away, occasionally shooting a fireball at a trooper or building. The Galaxy Rangers give chase. Setting: Angel Falls Lion Ranger is being chased by the Galaxy Rangers. As he runs, he occasionally shoots off a fireball, setting parts of the forest ablaze. They reach a clearing at the top of a waterfall. Lion Ranger suddenly stops and turns to face the Galaxy Rangers. Red Ranger: It ends here Lion Ranger. Only one of us is getting out of here. Lion Ranger (laughing): Don't be so hard on yourself, you might NOT lose. I'll make it easy on you Red Ranger. You and me, one on one, no weapons. He throws the Fire-Lance into a tree and assumes a battle stance. Red Ranger: You're on. He gets into a battle stance, then the two Rangers charge at each other. Red Ranger jumps up in the air and back flips over Lion Ranger. He lands and attempts to take Lion Ranger down with a spinning roundhouse, but Lion Ranger spins around and ducks, then takes Red Ranger down with a spinning floor sweep. Red Ranger gets back up and runs at Lion Ranger. He tackles him and they fall to the ground. Lion Ranger kicks Red Ranger off him and flips to his feet. He runs over to Red Ranger and dives onto him, slamming his elbow into his chest. Sparks erupt from Red Ranger's chest. Lion Ranger gets up and elbow drops Red Ranger three more times. The last time, sparks erupt from Red Ranger's chest, and he de-morphs. Lion Ranger: I win. He holds out his hand, and the Fire-Lance pulls from the tree and flies into his hand. He holds it above Leo's head, ready to deliver the final death blow. As he is about to kill Leo, energy surges crackle over his armour, and the Fire-Lance crackles and disappears. Using this opportunity, the three remaining Galaxy Rangers attack. They strike hard and fast. Quasar Sabres slash. Sparks fly. Small explosions ripple across Lion Ranger as he stumbles backward, nearing the edge of the cliff. Pink Ranger: Your murderous streak ends here, NOW. Leo stands with the Green, Pink and Blue Rangers, as they slash their Quasar Sabres down hard on Lion Ranger. Explosions ripple across his armour. He topples backward and falls over the edge of the cliff. The Rangers run to the edge and look down as Lion Ranger disappears into the watery mist far below. For a moment, nothing. Then they hear a large explosion and hear the roar of the lion. Leo: It's finished. The Rangers de-morph and stare down over the edge of the cliff. Kai: No one will ever be hurt by him again. Damon: Maybe now we can repair Terra Venture and get things back to normal. Kendrix: No Damon, everything is NOT normal. Maya is still in hospital. That BASTARD put her in a coma. Scene 11: Unknown The darkness swirled around. The noises had once again subsided. There was the sound of voices. Not his own. Too much pain. He could feel the soothing comfort of the darkness all around him. Then he let go and let the darkness embrace him. Setting: Terra Venture Hospital Maya is still hooked up to the life support systems. The ECG monitor beeps rhythmically. She remains motionless save for the rise and fall of her chest. The doors burst open as two medics push a trolley through. On the trolley is a battered teenage boy. He is wearing a dark version of the Time Force uniforms. It is battered, torn and brunt. Doctor: What happened to him? Medic 1: We don't know. A patrol found him at the bottom of Angel Falls. Medic 2: When we found him, he was wearing these, one on each wrist. The medic holds up a plastic specimen bag, containing two morphers. Setting: Somewhere on Mirinoi The eyes of the lion on the plaque glow with pure energy, then the energy fades. A faint roar can be heard, but not of an organic creature. This roar is robotic. Next time on Power Rangers: Lion Force Clip 1: A robotic monster, BioCon attacks Terra Venture. Clip 2: BioCon sprays a green goo on several citizens, turning them to stone. Clip 3: Lion Ranger swoops down and lands at the opposite end of the street. Clip 4: Lion Ranger: Your rampage ends here BioCon. Clip 5: Five shadowy figures walk slowly out of a burning building towards BioCon. BioCon: it's can't be... there was only ONE OF YOU!
