Power Rangers: Lion Force Episode 21 "Oh Brother" By DinoBot Setting: Space A very large distortion hangs in orbit of and orange and brown planet. Suddenly, a teleportation beam from deep space hits the ship. Setting: Unknown Darkness fills the room completely, with no exception. Suddenly, the room lights up and a conference table can be seen. The table has six chairs, with one at one end, facing the other six. Suddenly, five shafts of light appear, over the five chairs at the opposite end. The shafts of light are in fact teleporter beams, and as five humanoid shapes materialise, the beams fade, leaving the five people cast in darkness. Once again, the mysterious panel has met. A hologram appears from the center of the table, it's a hologram of some ancient ruins, somewhere on Miranoi. Voice 1: With the arrival of Dameacon, things have taken an unexpected turn Voice 2: he has forces searching for the resting place of the Forge Voice 2: That must not be allowed. The Forge must remain buried. Everything else is secondary. Voice 3: The Rangers musts stop Dameacon before the Forge is released. Voice 4: They will fail against the power of the Forge if it is released. Voice 5: Then we must take steps to prevent that. Setting: Space A spaceship launches away from the ripple. The spaceship SHIMMERS and CLOAKS as it passes into a transwarp wormhole, only a ripple in the stars marking its passage. Setting: Unknown Voice 1: We have dispatched someone to destroy the Forge while it slumbers Voice 2: Our operative will arrive at Miranoi soon Voice 3: The operative we have sent has orders. Voice 4: Should anyone interfere, the operative has orders. Voice 5: Terminate, with extreme prejudice. Setting: Downtown Terra Venture The citizens of terra Venture are going about their day to day life. There are also many construction and sanitation workers cleaning up rubble and rebuilding parts of the city that were damaged during the last monster attack. RaptorCon and FireStorm walk down the street FireStorm: These monster attacks are getting SLIGHTLY out of hand RaptorCon: I agree, next time one shows up, the Rangers have to duke it out with it OUTSIDE the colony FireStorm: What about the Miranites? RaptorCon: Ahh who cares about them, let's eat The two monsters head for a nearby café. Setting: Space - Miranoi orbit The shimmering form of the cloaked spaceship glides silently towards Miranoi. Setting: Somewhere On Miranoi Dameacon, a dozen Tank drones and a humanoid snake monster stalk through the dense jungle growth. Dameacon: The final resting place of The Forge is rumoured to be around here RattlerCon: Why search for a legend and not NUKE Terra Venture... Dameacon: because nuking terra Venture would destroy the colony and the Miranites, but not the Rangers The group emerge from the dense forest at the same ruins The Panel had on the hologram. Dameacon advances towards the ruins and studies them carefully. But before he can do anything, two powerful energy blast streak out of the empty sky and slam into the ground before him, sending him crashing back. A wormhole opens in the clear sky and something emerges. The stealth-cloaked ship, seen only as a ripple in the light. More energy blasts streak down towards Dameacon, blasting the alien warlord and his troops back from the ruins. Setting: Downtown Terra Venture Drax and Venomina are walking down the high street. Venomina is now wearing a uniform similar to the one Drax wears. RaptorCon come running up to them and skids to a halt. RaptorCon: We've got trouble, Dameacon and something are fighting near some ruins... Drax: Dameacon and something... what are you talking about? RaptorCon: Just go the ruins in sector 4 and you'll see Drax: Ok, notify the other Rangers and get them on standby Setting: Somewhere On Miranoi Red Lion Force Ranger sails down toward the distant explosions of the battle, and after a few moments, Red Lion Force Ranger arrives on the scene. The cloaked ship, still only a shimmer in the air, is hovering above the ruins, firing on the alien attackers. Explosions blast and billow amongst the rocks. RattlerCon: What in tarnation? Where the SLAG is the firepower coming from? I cannot see a target for my weapons Dameacon: No, you can't, can you? He ducks slightly as another blast erupts near him. Dameacon: Return to base... With that, Dameacon, RattlerCon and the Tank Drones teleport away. Red Lion Force Ranger: This is interesting... Behind him, the other Rangers land and walk up to him. They are closely followed by RaptorCon. Red Lion Ranger: Before anyone says anything, just shut up, keep quiet and stay low... The Rangers watch as a sleek-looking and slightly malevolent black spacecraft lands not far away. A stealth figure, like the ship before, just a shimmer in the air, drifts through the air toward the Rangers, unbeknownst to them. Maya: Strange. One would think a greeting would be the next step. Suddenly, two beams of light shoots out and pass over each of the Rangers, then they fade away. RaptorCon growls as he straightens and begins sniffing the air. RaptorCon: I smell something. Someone's here! Someone we can't see! They all spin, yanking out weapons. RaptorCon growls angrily. Blue Lion Force Ranger: What do you think it is? Red Lion Ranger: It's not a what, but a who Pink Lion Force Ranger: Huh? Red Lion Force Ranger (darkly): Before my mission to Miranoi, one other person was in the running for the job as leader of this team... At that moment, multiple energy blasts streak from nowhere, shooting the weapons from their hands. Xard: (echoing laughter) Clutching his hand, Red Lion Force Ranger glares as a shape shimmers into existence above them, a blaster held in each hand. This is Xard. He is wearing the same uniform as Drax, but this one comes complete with jet pack and helmet. Xard: (chuckles triumphantly) Xard floats down and lands in front of the Rangers then cross-holsters both weapons (Right-hand weapon to left holster, etc) Xard: You will pardon my shooting the weapons from your hands. I only wished to avoid any regrettable - accidents- to my person. RaptorCon scowls and growls menacingly at Xard. With the exception of Red Lion Force Ranger, the other Rangers power down. Xard removes his helmet and smiles at them. He is Drax' twin brother and has fire red hair. Xard: (clicks heels together) Covert Operative Xard, at your service. Maya: He looks JUST like you Drax... Xard: I should do, I'm Drax' little brother... Xard walks up to Red Lion Force Ranger and holds out his hand. Xard: Hello brother, long time no see... Red Lion Ranger stands defiantly with his arms folded across his chest. Red Lion Ranger: Go rotate yourself RaptorCon edges closes to Xard and growls. RaptorCon (To Xard): Be thankful your brother is here, 'cause if he weren't, I'd rip you apart after what you did when last we met Red Lion Ranger: Don't let me stop you... Xard: It's nice to see you again to RaptorCon Xard turns to face the other Rangers, and points to the ruins. Xard: Dameacon is trying to use the ruins to unleash a monster which the Panel buried here centuries ago... Xard notices their confused looks and turns to Red Lion Force Ranger. Xard: You mean you haven't told them ANYTHING? Leo: What monster, and what is this 'panel'? Xard: It seems as if my brother has neglected to fill you in on certain aspects of his mission here... Xard walks over to a large rocks and sits on it, the other Rangers gather around him. Xard: In answer to your question Leo, the panel is the... He is cut off as a series of energy blasts slam into him, knocking him backwards. The Rangers dive for cover as RattlerCon stomps towards them, in giant mode. RattlerCon: FEEL MY STING RANGERS... Xard: Well, it looks like I arrived just in time... He runs back to his ship, cloaking as he does. Red Lion Ranger: I hope RattlerCon crushes my idiotic brother... But I suppose I'd better summon the Zords Before he can say another word, Xard's cloaked ship begins firing on giant RattlerCon. The giant snake monster lashes out, trying to swat the invisible attacker. The Rangers run up to Red Lion Force Ranger. Maya: shouldn't we morph and call the Zords to help him? Drax holds up his left wrist and taps a few buttons on his morpher. Drax: You can morph, but I've locked the Zords down, they aren't going ANYWHERE He powers down and sits down next to RaptorCon and watches the battle. Leo: You can't do this, he's your brother Drax ignores him, RaptorCon offers Drax some popcorn, Drax takes a handful and slowly eats it. Setting: LionStar - Bridge FireStorm watches as RattlerCon tries to find the cloaked fighter that is firing on him. FireStorm: So, Xard has decided to show up again, well, this is going to be an interesting fight... Venomina teleports onto the bridge and sits at the helm. She notices the battle going on. Venomina: So, are we going to help or what? FireStorm: Let's wait and see shall we. if Xard wins, then they'll be no need, but if he loses, which I hope he does, I'll use the Mega lasers to fry RattlerCon Setting: Somewhere On Miranoi RattlerCon has smoke pouring off his body, and even parts of him are on fire. Xard's ship has de-cloaked and is damaged, but still firing on the giant sized snake monster. With the exception of Drax, the other Rangers have morphed and are trying to assist Xard. RaptorCon: I got ten lunches says that your brother gets SLAGGED Drax: Deal... They watch as the Rangers stand on Xard's fighter and aim their Fire Sabers at RattlerCon. Then as the fighter fires a massive energy barrage, the Rangers fire their Fire Sabers. The massive amount of energy slammed into RattlerCon, causing him to explode in a burst of energy and fire. Drax: You owe me ten lunches RaptorCon: Well, it looks like your brother won... Drax: Yeah, shame isn't it? He watches as the fighter descends down, the Rangers fly down and de-morph as Xard exits the fighter. Xard: Before I go, I must destroy those ruins... Xard turns to face them and before he can say anything else, two powerful beams of energy streak out of the sky and slam into the ruins, destroying them. He turns to face Drax, who remains stone-faced. Drax: Beat you to it, little brother Xard turns to the Rangers and smiles a them. Xard: It's been a pleasure working with you Maya: It was nice to meet you Xard... Leo: Before you go, can you tell us who or what this 'panel' is. You mentioned them earlier... Xard (Lying): Sorry guys, I was lying. There is no panel, I was just trying to get Drax angry, and it looks like it worked Xard walks up to Drax. Xard: Listen, can't we just forget the past. Make a fresh start from today onwards... Smiling warmly, Xard once again offers his brother his hand. But Drax doesn't reply, he and RaptorCon just teleport away. Xard sighs and heads back towards the other Rangers Xard: That went well... Kai: What went on between you? Xard: Alas, that's for RaptorCon and Drax to tell you, not me, sorry He turns and walks back to his fighter, but before he gets in, he turns and faces the Rangers. Xard: Remember Rangers, when the long dark comes, look to the end of the beginning He waves to them as he gets into the fighter and a few moments later, the fighter takes to the skies and roars up into the clear sky. Maya: "when the long dark comes, look to the end of the beginning" What does that mean? Kai: Who knows, but I'll bet dimes to dollars Drax knows... Daimon: Good luck in trying to get him to tell you. Trying to get information from Drax s like getting blood from a stone, impossible. Setting: LionStar - Bridge Drax watches as Xard's fighter enters a transwarp wormhole and vanishes from sight. FireStorm: Why didn't you kill him, I would have RaptorCon: Revenge is a dish best served cold, besides, I don't want him to see it coming FireStorm: Ah yes, the old knife in the back routine... RaptorCon: It's what he deserves after what he did to Drax and myself Drax reaches forward and shuts off the view screen, then gets up and leaves the bridge. THE END Next Time, on Power Rangers: Lion Force Clip 1 Strikning stands before a half constructed monster: "Finally! The instrument of my treachery, as well as the Ranger's deaths has been COMPLETED" Clip 2 Strikning laughs madly as he destroys an ancient temple, releasing five glowing energy balls. Clip 3 Kai: You mean there was another team of Power Rangers on Miranoi before us?. Clip 4 A one man jet fighter flies through the air. RaptorCon's voice: "Allow me to introduce to you, the Sky Screamer" Clip 5 Drax: If he's released them, then we're royally SLAGGED. Clip 6 The Blue, Black, Yellow, Pink and Green Lion Force Rangers confront the beings of energy. Blue being of energy: "The panel condemned us to death" Pink being of energy: "You musty avenge us" Red being of energy: "Your destiny is now." Clip 7 Red Lion Force Lion Force Ranger, RaptorCon, FireStorm and Venomina stand off against five shadowy figures.
