Power Rangers: Lion Force Episode 20 "Venomina's Strange Change" By DinoBot Setting: LionStar - RaptorCon's Laboratory RaptorCon is in there, working intently over a small, black device. Tinkering with the circuitry in the device, he silently talks to himself. RaptorCon: If I invert the power flow, then augment the crystal core..... Suddenly, the alarms on the ship sound. RaptorCon quickly covers the device and instruments with a tarp, and exits the lab, the door closing and locking behind him. Setting: Lion Star - Bridge RaptorCon walks onto the bridge, FireStorm is already there. RaptorCon: Where's the emergency? FireStorm: No emergency, there was no other way to get you out of the lab RaptorCon (Annoyed): Have you tried... oh I don't know.... COMING DOWN THERE AND GETTING ME? FireStorm: Me, go down there? Are you insane, it stinks down there..... RaptorCon: So, what do you what? FireStorm: We've got a problem.... RaptorCon: Listen, if it's about that smell coming from my lab..... FireStorm: No it's not about your sticking lab.... it's about this.... The viewscreen flickers on and displays a café, which has just begun serving lunch. FireStorm: One of us has to go and get lunch while the other one stays here and monitors things... The two monsters look at each other intensely. RaptorCon raises his fist and holds it towards FireStorm, who does the same. RaptorCon: Let's settle this like MEN.... FireStorm: Paper Rock Scissors, best two out of three. The looser goes after the device RaptorCon: Let's do it.... They do the first round, RaptorCon chooses paper while FireStorm chooses scissors. FireStorm: I win, one more round to win then it's off to the cafe for you They do the second round, FireStorm chooses rock while RaptorCon chooses scissors. RaptorCon: Ahh CRAP.... FireStorm: Off you go, I'll monitor your progress RaptorCon: Oh ok brimstone breath, don't get your cinders cold, I'm in my way RaptorCon steps back and teleports away. Setting: Angel Falls Venomina is sat on a pile of rocks. Drax words ring through her head as she watches the cascade of water. RaptorCon: Who says anything about fancying her. I'm just telling you that you want to give her a dam good...... SHAG Drax: Well, now that you mention it. I DID want to give her one... Venomina (Upset): How could he say that? I thought we had something together, when all this time, he wants to mate with Maya... She picks up a rock and throws it into the water, it skips across the surface and sinks below the glassy calm without a trace. She stares down at her reflection in the smooth water's surface. Venomina: I can't blame him, I mean, what guy in his right mind would want to be with a hideous freak like me... She gets up and begins to walk away when she sees something get her attention. A young Miranite girl and a young man who appears to be her boyfriend, come running out of the woods. They are both covered in dirt, twigs, bits of foliage and other crap. She watches as the Miranite girl dives into the water, and a few seconds later, she resurfaces, free of the crap that covered her. Venomina: That's it... That's what I'll do... A smile creeps across her face as she teleports away in a cloud of purple smoke. Setting: Terra Venture - Industrial Estate Venomina teleports in and quietly creeps towards a stack of containers. She looks at them and spots the one she needs. Venomina: GC161, perfect. Now all I need is a blaster and a quite spot to do this... She teleports away in a cloud of purple smoke. Setting: Terra Venture - Armoury Venomina teleports in and quietly creeps towards a rack of Blasters. She watches as the troopers move away. But one of them remains on guard in front of the weapons. She waits, hoping he'll move, but he stays where he is. Venomina: Fine, you want it that way, fine by me... She extends her hoses and blasts the trooper with a jet of green gas. He drops like a sack of potatoes, Venomina smiles and comes out from her hiding place, she quietly grabs one of the Blasters. Venomina: That's it... I'm almost ready... A smile creeps across her face as she teleports away in a cloud of purple smoke. Setting: LionStar - Bridge FireStorm walks over to the beeping communications console and thumbs the button. FireStorm: Go ahead Commander Stanton Stanton's voice filters through the communication system and fills the bridge. Stanton: FireStorm, we may have a problem. We've had thing stolen and one of the GSA troopers was knocked out FireStorm: No offence, but what's that go to do with us? Stanton: A dangerous chemical used in construction and a Blaster were stolen. And the trooper was knocked out by green gas. My guess it's a monster of some kind. On hearing how the trooper was knocked out, FireStorm guessed it was Venomina, but what was she up to?. FireStorm: I'll look into it commander, FireStorm out He thumbs the comm. button, switching the system off. He then walks over to the helm and sits down. FireStorm: Computer, scan planet's surface and locate Venomina Computer: Working On the viewscreen, image after image after image of different sections of Miranoi and Terra Venture flashed on the screen. Computer: Unable to locate subject Venomina due to interference FireStorm: Extrapolate most likely location then teleport me there Computer: Working FireStorm stands up and is enveloped by the glow of the teleporter. Setting: Somewhere on Miranoi Venomina extends her hoses and stabs them into the containe4r of chemicals. She shakes slightly as she absorbs he GC161. She kicks the empty container away then wraps her hoses around the blaster and raises it above her. She rests against the rocks and squeezes the hoses, firing the blaster in a continuous blast. The blue beam envelopes the female monster. In a few minutes, the weapon has discharged it's capacitors. She drops the dead blaster and retracts her hoses. Venomina (Weakly): Now... It... Begins... She closes her eyes as the blue energy begins to harden into a shell; and in a few moments, the energy has formed a cocoon around the female snake monster. Setting: Miranite Village FireStorm teleports in and looks around, then growls to himself. FireStorm: This SUCKS. That DAM computer has sent me to the wrong place He turns and walks away as he is enveloped by the teleported once more. Setting: LionStar - Bridge FireStorm teleports in just in time to see RaptorCon arrive back with their lunch. RaptorCon: Where've you been? FireStorm: Looking for Venomina, something is going on with her RaptorCon: Like what? Firestorm: I can't locate her as she's jamming the scanners, and she's stolen a dangerous chemical and a Blaster RaptorCon: Have you tried to recalibrate the scanners to look for the chemical? FireStorm: Not yet RaptorCon: I'll manage the scanners while you go look for our errant friend RaptorCon works the scanners, and feeds the results directly to the viewscreen. After a few minutes, he thumps the console in frustration. RaptorCon: I am annoyed. I've tried EVERY single scanner frequency and permutation I can think of, and NOTHING FireStorm: Can you locate the general area she's in? I tried it and it sent me to the Miranite village RaptorCon: I don't think so, but I'll give it a try... RaptorCon once again begins to works the scanners. Setting: Somewhere on Miranoi The cocoon glows with power. Something can be seen moving around inside, purple energy arcs across it's surface and we hear a inhuman scream emit from the cocoon. Setting: LionStar - Bridge A smile creeps across RaptorCon's face as he works the controls. RaptorCon: I've narrowed it down to a 5 square mile sector of the southern continent FireStorm: Teleport me FireStorm waves as the teleporter snatches him away from the bridge of the LionStar. Setting: Somewhere on Miranoi The cocoon slowly stops glowing and becomes a dull grey colour. For a few minutes, nothing happens, then a small crack appears in the surface of the cocoon. The crack grows, and grows, slowly growing from top to bottom; then something burst out. A hand, covered in purple slime. Then slowly, a humanoid figure staggers out of the cocoon, covered in slime and tatty clothing. The figure moves to a nearby lake, and looks down at the reflection staring back up. The figure reaches out and dips a slime covered hand into the water, a few moments later, withdraws it. And instead of a slime covered hand, it is now a gentler, feminine hand. Setting: Somewhere On Miranoi FireStorm walk around through the thick jungle growth. He uses his tail and claws to cut a path through. FireStorm: This planet needs a weed whacker taking to it, either that or a decent weed killer He stumbles through the growth and arrives at the side of a lake, near some rocks is the remnants of Venomina's cocoon. He walks up to then and studies it, then he notices the slime, he bends down, and, using a sample container, takes a sample. FireStorm: Teleport me back up lizard breath, I've found something RaptorCon (Voice): Ok brimstone breath, teleporting... Setting: LionStar - Bridge FireStorm teleports in and walks to the science station and inserts the sample container into the scanner port. FireStorm: Computer, scan substance in scanner port, relay data to main viewscreen FireStorm sits at the helm next to RaptorCon as the data flows across the viewscreen. Computer: Substance in scanner port is a biological substance of unknown origin RaptorCon studies the data. RaptorCon: Computer, cross reference the sample in the scanner port with the sample taken from the cocoon Trakeena used Computer: Working FireStorm: Are you onto something? RaptorCon: I might be... Computer: Cross reference complete, substance in scanner port and substance from Trakena's cocoon share similarities... RaptorCon: The stuff Trakeena used to mutate and the stuff you found, while they are different, share the same basic functional properties FireStorm: If you don't say that in English, I'll beat you to death with a dictionary RaptorCon: What ever that stuff is you found next to the cocoon, it was used to mutate or change something into something else Setting: Downtown Terra Venture A beautiful girl walks down the street, attracting looks from the men as she does. She is tall, with long brown hair and perching green eyes. Her complexion is similar to that of a Miranite girl. She is wearing an outfit similar to Maya's, except this one is purple, not tatty and it's brand new. The girl stops when she sees Drax walking towards the colony exit. A smile creeps across her face as she walks towards him. Venomina: Hello Drax... Drax stares at her, although he tires not to. Drax: Do I know you? Venomina: I'll give you a hint... She steps back a bit and extends her hoses slightly, then retracts them. Drax: Venomina, is that you? Venomina(Smiling): It sure is. So what do you think of the new me? Drax stares at Venomina. He's speechless at the sight of her new beauty. She steps up to him and wraps her arm around his waist, then slips his arm around her waist. Venomina: So, I bet you find me more attractive than Maya? Drax; I always found you more attractive that Maya Venomina is surprised by Drax' statement. She looks at him, the hugs him tightly. THE END Next time on Power Rangers: Lion Force.
