Power Rangers: Lion Force Episode 17 "The Coming Of Green: Part 1: The Herald" by DinoBot Setting: Downtown Terra Venture Drax and Venomina are sat at Drax usual table at the same café; Drax is drinking his usual coffee while Venomina is eating a scone. Venomina: I'll give the humans one thing; they certainly know how to make good food suddenly, from out of no-where a tongue whips out and takes Venomina's scone. RaptorCon teleports in and finishes off the scone. RaptorCon: not bad, but a little heavy on the clotted cream He belches loudly and sits down opposite them. Venomina: that was my scone you ate... RaptorCon: oops Drax: well, let's hope today is quiet, I could use some rest RaptorCon: yeah, after last night I bet you could do with some rest Drax: what? RaptorCon: don't try and feign innocence, my room is next to yours and I heard what the two of you got up to... Venomina: you've got a dirty mind RaptorCon: and you've got a dirty mouth, I also heard what you said while you were doing what I heard you doing Venomina: And what is it that you think you heard us doing? As RaptorCon is about to reply, an explosion rips through a nearby venture vehicle. another venture vehicle explodes, then a building is engulfed in flame. from out of the wreckage of the burning building steps a shimmering humanoid figure. the figure is shimmering because, like the phantom ranger, he is using a personal cloaking device. RaptorCon and Venomina approach the shimmering figure. RaptorCon: I don't like it, who ever it is, they smell bad a laser beam stabs out from the shimmering figure, missing RaptorCon and Venomina by inches. Venomina: you go get the others, I'll handle this RaptorCon teleports away as Venomina gets ready to fight. shimmering figure: you are not part of the test, this is not your concern Venomina: you try to blow me and my friends up so this is my concern Shimmering Figure: you are an anomaly, you musty be voided so the test can proceed... energy bolts drop down out of the sky and strike the ground all around Venomina, blinding her to the shimmering figure's escape. when the energy bolts have faded away, Venomina finds herself surrounded by dozens of StrikeMites. Venomina: This is going to get tough before it gets easier the StrikeMite closest to her shoots a laser blast from it's eyes that explodes before Venomina, sending her hurtling backward ten feet through the air. another StrikeMite charges at her and slams her with a spinning heel kick. setting: unknown - starship bridge RaptorCon watches as the StrikeMites pound Venomina. RaptorCon: Drax, Venomina needs help, now... setting: Downtown Terra Venture Three StrikeMites charges like a bull and slam into Venomina, sending her flying through the air. Suddenly, in mid air, she stops as Red Lion Force Ranger catches her and slowly lowers her back down Red Lion Force Ranger: Could you use a hand? Venomina: If you insist... Red Lion Force Ranger summons his Fire Saber and aims it at the shimmering figure. Red Lion Force Ranger: I don't suppose you'll tell me who you are? Shimmering Figure: I am jealousy, I am grass, what am I? Red Lion Force Ranger: Insane? Shimmering figure: Sanity is not the question, the test must be completed to see if you are... Red Lion Force Ranger fires the Fire Saber, hitting the ground in front of the shimmering figure, who ripples and fades away. The StrikeMites explode in a burst of energy and are gone. Setting: Unknown - Starship Bridge RaptorCon replays the shimmering figures words through the speakers. Shimmering Figure I am jealousy, I am grass, what am I?......... Sanity is not the question, the test must be completed to see if you are... He switches the speakers off and strums his fingers on the console. Something about those words is familiar, as if he'd hear them before. RaptorCon: Computer, scan all reference material in the database and highlight any reference to a shimmering figure, grass or jealousy Computer: Searching... As he sits back in the chair, Drax and Venomina teleport in, closely followed by the other Rangers. Drax: Run a search for... RaptorCon: Already underway Maya: What happened? Leo: We heard there was a monster attack Daimon So why weren't we notified? Venomina: Because you're help wasn't required this time As Venomina slips her arm around Drax, Maya casts a glance at them. Maya(To herself): That should be me doing that Setting: DarkStar - Bridge Dameacon watches Venomina's battle with the shimmering figure. Dameacon: The Emerald Herald is on Miranoi, now this complicates my plans... He taps a control on the arm rest of his chair and brings up, on the view screen, a list of monsters at his disposal. He selects one and turns to Dragantis. Dameacon: Send down this monster... He'll keep Red Lion Force Ranger busy long enough for me to destroy the Emerald Herald Dragantis: Yes my lord, I'll get right on it Dragantis bows and walks away from Dameacon and leaves the bridge. Setting: Miranite Village A ball of energy floats down from the sky and explodes in the middle of the village, and out of the explosion steps Strikning. Strikning: Ah yes, it's good to be back... NOT He laughs madly as he stomps out of the village, randomly shooting Miranites. Setting: Terra Venture - Industrial Sector Strikning walks into the industrial sector and rubs his hands in glee. Strikning: Yes, this will be the first He laughs as he shoots energy balls, causing explosions and killing several workers. He fires an energy beam at a fuel pump, causing a massive explosion to tear through the industrial sector. Strikning: C'mon Drax, I know you're here, C'MON OUT AND PLAY Suddenly, through the smoke, fire and destruction, a fireball drops down from the sky and slams into Strikning, sending him crashing to the floor. Strikning; WHO DID THAT? Red Lion Force Ranger: I'm up here... Red Lion Force Ranger hovers in the sky, Fire Saber held ready. Red Lion Force Ranger: I have a score to settle with you... He fires more fireballs at Strikning, who dodges them easily. Strikning: Is that the best you can do? And are you afraid to fight me one on one Red Lion Force Ranger: I'm just getting warmed up He sends the Fire Saber away and taps his left wrist, and the Mega Summoner on his left wrist. Red Lion Ranger: Mega Armour, SUIT UP (Mega Armour Activation Sequence) Red Mega Lion: Now, about that score I have to settle Setting: Unknown - Starship Bridge The Rangers watch Red Mega Lion fighting Strikning. Maya: Shouldn't we go help? RaptorCon: No, this is Drax' fight, so we stay out of it until he asks for our help FireStorm: Besides, you four have other things to worry about... Leo: Like what? The viewscreen shifts image and displays Dameacon, Dragantis and a dozen Tank Drones walking through a forest. FireStorm: Go and deal with Dameacon, I'll keep an eye on Drax Maya: We have a job to do, so let's go do it Leo: Lion Ranger Force, ACTIVATE! Setting: Neola Jungle Dragantis studies the scanning device and growls with frustration. Dragantis: This is IMPOSSIBLE. As soon as we get a fix on him, he vanishes Dameacon: We will find the Emerald Herald, and the powers of the.. An explosion sends the Tank Drones crashing back. They sail through the air and knock Dameacon and Dragantis off their feet. The remaining four Lion Force Rangers descend down with their Fire Sabers drawn Blue Lion Force Ranger: Give it up Dameacon, you're SO not going to win Dameacon: Wanna bet? Dragantis looks at the scanning device. Dragantis: My lord, I believe I have a way to find the Emerald Herald Dameacon: Then what are we doing here... The monsters and the Tank Drones teleport away. Pink Lion Force Ranger: Who or what is the Emerald Herald? Yellow Lion Force Ranger: Who knows, but I bet my bottom dollar Drax will know The Rangers take to the skies and head back towards Terra Venture. Setting: Terra Venture - Industrial Sector Strikning pulls away from Red Mega Lion. Strikning: Sorry to fight and run, but I've got things to do, people to kill, POWERS to steal Strikning teleports away amidst a volley of energy blasts from Red Mega Lion. Red Mega Lion: Mega Armour, power down The Mega Armour crackles and fades away, leaving Red Lion Ranger standing in the middle of the industrial sector. Emerald Herald: Your victory was not fair Red Lion Force Ranger whirls around and sees the shimmering form of the Emerald Herald. Red Lion Force Ranger: What the CRAP does that mean 'was not fair' He's a monster, I'm a Power Ranger, I destroy monsters, not play fair Emerald Herald: Your victory was not fair. The test must be even. To prove you are worth of possessing the power, the battle must be made even Before he can reply, an energy beam stabs out from the Emerald Herald and slams into Red Lion Force Ranger. The beam lifts him up and sends him skywards. Setting: Angel Falls Red Lion Force Ranger crashes to the ground in a fireball of energy. His body skids to a halt near the edge of the waterfall, with his left arm hanging over the edge. Emerald Herald(Voice): The battle is now even, who so ever is the victor will posses the power TO BE CONTINUED....
