Power Rangers: Lion Force Episode 10 "Shadows And Death" By DinoBot Setting: Space A very large distortion hangs in orbit of and orange and brown planet. Suddenly, a teleportation beam from deep space hits the ship. Setting: Unknown Darkness fills the room completely, with no exception. Suddenly, the room lights up and a conference table can be seen. The table has six chairs, with one at one end, facing the other six. Suddenly, five shafts of light appear, over the five chairs at the opposite end. The shafts of light are in fact teleporter beams, and as five humanoid shapes materialise, the beams fade, leaving the five people cast in darkness. Another person teleports in, it's Drax. he walks up to the single chair and sits down. Drax: You wanted to see me? A hologram appears from the center of the table, it's a hologram of Terra Venture. Voice 1: Progress report.... Drax: Everything is going according to plan Voice 2: What is the status of the LionStar? Drax: Slow at best. The repairs are proceeding slowly due to the amount of time the LionStar has been on Miranoi Voice 3: That is to be expected. What is the status of the Lion Force Rangers? Drax: The other Rangers are performing..... well enough. But there are problems. Voice 4: Those problems must be overcome. The mission must take priority. Drax: I know, but the monsters that randomly appear keep trying to reveal info abut me and the mission. Voice 5: This must not be allowed to come to pass. The mission must remain a secret Drax: I try to take the monsters out before then can say anything, but the others Rangers are starting to get suspicious. I've tried throwing them off the scent by revealing Kendrix' pregnancy, but it hasn't stopped them.... Voice 1: They must not find out about the mission. Voice 2: Use what ever means you can to complete the missions, other priorities are rescinded. Drax: Understood. I also have found one of the devices that was lost.... Voice 3: This is indeed good news Drax: As yet, the other devices remain hidden.... Voice 4: The device you found, let us see it Drax places the device on the table and shoves it towards them. It slides to a halt near them. Voice 5: This is a good result Drax. Voice 1: Take these as a token of our appreciation of your hard work and total years of service. In front of Drax, five devices appear. They are rectangular in shape and are the size of a TV control. there is a small keypad on it with the numbers 0-9 on and a button marked enter. Voice 1: These are the Battle Boosters. Voice 2: They were salvaged from the LightSpeed AquaBase.... Drax: Thank you Voice 3: Proceed carefully Drax, there is a storm approaching on the horizon Drax: What of the Rangers? Voice 4: Aside from completing the mission, they are of no concern.... Drax: I understand. Drax stands up and picks up the Battle Boosters then teleports out. Setting: Neola Jungle Even though it's a very sunny day, the natural ceiling creating by the trees makes the forest very dark. In small dirt path, a couple of Miranite girls walk through the woods. Both seem to be in their late teen to early twenties, one girl is dark-haired, and the other girl is blonde. Manthasa: This is where he was last seen Cesca: We shouldn't be here Manthasa: Oh stop moaning and c'mon The two girls make their way through the forest until they come to a rocky outcropping, the one where Drax made the bombs from Episode 1. They step into the out cropping and look around. Drax isn't there. In the jungle, behind the girls, a creature covered in the shadows stalks around in the bushes. All that's visible are two red cat-like eyes. It makes a small growling sound as if it were hungry. Then, with a hungry roar, it leaps out of the shadows at the girls. The monster is a humanoid Velociraptor, complete with large claw on each foot and a swishing tail. His body is a pale grey colour. This is the monster RaptorCon. Cesca: Run.... The girls don't have time to run as RaptorCon slams into Cesca, knocking her to the ground. In one fluidic motion, he swings his tail around and slams it into Manthasa, sending her crashing into a tree. She hits it and falls to the ground, her neck broken. RaptorCon: Time to feed. RaptorCon bites into Cesca's chest, she screams in pain as the blood flows from the terrible wound. Setting: Downtown Terra Venture Drax is seated at his usual table, at the same outside café, sipping a cup of coffee. Drax: There's nothing like a good cup of coffee.... The scanning device he has begins beeping, Drax takes it out and studies the display. Drax: Hmm, it seems as if I'll have a chance to test out the Battle Boosters. Setting: Miranite Village RaptorCon walks into the village, scaring the Miranites, but he looks different from when we last saw him. Instead of his body being grey, it's a healthy brown. He laughs and picks up a pot of what appears to be soup, which was cooking on an open fire. He downs the entire contents and belches loudly. HE then eats the pot and belches again. RaptorCon: So this is Miranoi, what a total and utter crap-heap... Red Lion Ranger descends down from the sky and lands in front of RaptorCon. RaptorCon: A Power Ranger. Hmmm, you're gonna be tasty....... Red Lion Ranger: I'm off the menu.... The Fire Saber appears in his hands and he charges at RaptorCon. The dinosaur monster roars with delight and charges at Red Lion Ranger and the fight begins. Setting: Terra Venture - Residential Quarter - Maya's Quarters Maya is asleep in her hammock. Suddenly, she sits up, sweat dripping from her brow as if she's just woken up from a dream. Maya: Drax.... She taps her wrist and her Morpher appears; she listens and picks up a fragment of the battle. Red Lion Ranger: Give in, I won't hurt you.... much RaptorCon: Oh you are SO going down Maya gets up off her hammock and runs out of her quarters. Setting: Miranite Village Red Lion Ranger and RaptorCon are still fighting. Red Lion Ranger blocks RaptorCon's first strike, then counters it is in turn blocked by Red Lion Ranger. It goes back and forth until Red Lion Ranger spins around low and back strikes RaptorCon in the gut. RaptorCon recovers quickly and goes for a cheap shot in the back with his claws extended but Red Lion Ranger (still crouching) kicks behind him to nail RaptorCon in the groin. Red Lion ranger rolls away from the dinosaur monster. Red Lion Ranger: I know who you are RaptorCon. You're a murderer and if I'm not mistaken, you've just eaten two Miranite girls..... RaptorCon seems taken back and disgusted by Red Lion Ranger's comments. RaptorCon: You've got some good moves, but your intelligence sucks, is the panel still dictating your actions? Red Lion Ranger drops the Fire Saber and charges at RaptorCon. Red Lion Ranger grabs RaptorCon by his throat and RaptorCon grabs Red Lion Ranger by his throat. They begin to strangle each other. RaptorCon/Red Lion Ranger: DIE, DIE, DIE..... Red Lion Ranger activates his thrusters and send the two fighters hurtling skywards. Setting: Downtown Terra Venture Leo, Daimon and Kai are sitting under a tree ( chatting to themselves) when an explosion sends them flying and crashing down to the ground with a thud. They get up and see Red Lion Ranger and RaptorCon tearing into each other, still trying top throttle each other. Before any of them can act, Pink Lion Ranger dives down out of the sky and grabs hold of RaptorCon's tail. Pink Lion Ranger: Is this a private fight or can anyone join in? RaptorCon: Ah, getting the old ball and chain to help are you Drax? Red Lion Ranger lets go of RaptorCon then pushes Pink Lion Ranger away. Red Lion Ranger: This is MY fight, stay out of it.... He then grabs RaptorCon by the tail and flies above the colony and out of sight. Making sure no-one can see her, Pink Lion Ranger powers down. Maya: What's rattled his cage? I was only trying to help Kai: Now do you believe me when I say he's a complete JERK.... Setting: Iewoodkate River Red Lion Ranger drops RaptorCon to the ground then lands next to him. RaptorCon: It took you long enough..... Red Lion Ranger: When you said 'The old ball and chain' I knew you had to be on the level. So, DID the panel send you? RaptorCon: Yes, they thought you could use some help in the field.... Red Lion Ranger: Ok, well you can start by telling me..... Before Red Lion Ranger can reply, a raptor monster jumps out of the river. RaptorClone: More food RaptorCon: Not likely.... Red Lion Ranger: Teleport back to FireStorm, he'll fill you in on the mission.... RaptorCon nods, then teleports out. Red Lion Ranger summons the Fire Saber and drops into a battle stance. RaptorClone: You will not win Drax, you must know that..... Red Lion Ranger: The future is in MY hands. He charges at RaptorClone and swings the Fire Saber in a powerful arc. It connects with the monster dinosaur's chin and send him crashing back. He then drops the Fire Saber and charges at RaptorClone and begins punching and kicking the monster in a blur of feet and fists. Setting: Terra Venture People run screaming from RaptorCon as he walks down main street, eating a side of pork. Suddenly, a communications device he has begins beeping. He takes it out and activates it. FireStorm: RaptorCon, get to the river, NOW. Drax is getting his but kicked by your clone. RaptorCon: He's my brother, not my clone. And I'm on my way.... shall I get the other Rangers? FireStorm: Yes, that's a good idea.... RaptorCon runs down the street, still scaring people and sending them running in fear. RaptorCon: Where the CRAP are they? It's not long before the other Rangers find RaptorCon and surround him. Blue Lion Ranger: Ok ugly, not one step further... RaptorCon: Before you slag me, hear me out. Drax needs your help..... Pink Lion Ranger: Why, what have you done to him? RaptorCon: Oh I've done nothing, but my BROTHER has a beef with him, he's at the river kicking the SHIT out of Drax.... RaptorCon tales another bite out of his side of pork. RaptorCon: Well, are you going to help him or not? Setting: Iewoodkate River Red Lion Ranger isn't faring well against RaptorClone as when we last saw him. RaptorClone is repeatedly smashing his head against a rock. RaptorClone: This is TO easy..... He kicks Red Lion Ranger in the gut, sending him crashing to the ground, dangerously near the edge of a waterfall. The other Lion Rangers and RaptorCon arrive on the scene in time to see RaptorClone grab the half dead Red Lion Ranger by the throat and lift him off his feet. RaptorClone: Your leader was no match for me, and neither are you, dear brother..... RaptorCon tosses his side of pork over his shoulder and charges at RaptorClone, who drops the comatose Red Lion Ranger and begins fighting his brother while the other Rangers drag Red Lion Ranger to a safe distance. RaptorCon and his brother begin by blocking each other's attacks and coming to a brief stand still. They push away from each other. RaptorCon squats catlike ready for the next exchange of blows. RaptorCon and RaptorClone then begin to measure each other up and run off while facing each other. RaptorClone: Give it up brother, I'm the future, you're the obsolete model. RaptorCon: How can I be obsolete, we're CLONES..... The two run and become two balls of sparring energy. They roll to the ground as they regain solid form and block each other's attacks yet again. RaptorClone: Oh, before I go, I have something for you..... He shots out his tongue which whips across and grabs Red Lion Ranger by the ankle. RaptorClone whips his tongue back and releases Red Lion Ranger, who skids across the ground and slides over the edge of the waterfall. Pink Lion Ranger: NOOOOO She runs to the edge of the cliff in time to see Red Lion Force Ranger disappear into the mist below. The other Rangers and RaptorCon run to the edge of the cliff. RaptorClone: TATA KIDDIES..... RaptorClone teleports away as Pink Lion ranger powers down. Maya: No..... She begins crying, as the others power down and Kai comforts her. Leo (disbelief): Drax gone? No way. I don't believe it Daimon:(swallowing hard) He was a difficult person to deal with. At times, impossible! But I'll remember him with honor. Maya: Sure, he was obnoxious and a jerk, but he was a Ranger, and our leader....(to herself) And I loved him. Kai: I won't disgrace his memory with lies. He was a stuck-up, self-cantered jerk. Still in some perverse way, I will miss him. They hang their heads in silence, a mark of respect for their fallen leader. THE END
