1.
Are you associated
with Power Rangers or Disney? Do you write the show?
No, I am just a fan.
Myself and everyone that takes part in PRO are not officially
associated with PR or Disney at all. Neither is the site. I am just
trying to put together a fun site for Power Rangers fans.
2. How can you put up a Power Rangers site if you
don't work for
the show?
There are literally
millions of fan sites on the net for different television shows,
hobbies,
and other interests. My site is one of many Power Rangers fan sites. No one
really cares as long as you aren't making money off your site and you
don't claim ownership of the property. In this case the property being
Power Rangers.
3. Why does your site have spelling errors or bad
links?
Running a website
is very hard, especailly when you are trying to run a comprehenshive
one. Not to mention that this is just a hobby for me and I have a real
job.
Therefore I am bound to make mistakes. If there are spelling errors be
patient , I will probably get to them eventually. Bad links are also
unfortunate but I will try to make sure those are fixed as well.
4, Did you do the site yourself?
I am currently the
driving force behind PRO. That said I do have some help,
a person pretending to be ChronoRanger has done the site layout. I
specialize in the content.
I have done most of the content you see on this site. Jzt451 has
donated some pictures for SPD and runs Ranger Album. Websites like
Ranger Gallery, Ranger Retro-center, and Ranger Plex have supplied me
with my other pics ( outside from the
few DinoThunder and SPD screen captures I have done). RangerKing and
others post
news and opinion pieces on the main site page. Vince Mulligen
helped me improve the layout earlier in the year.
5. You say you are bring back Power Rangers Online.
I don't
remember a Power Rangers Online. What are you talking about?
Back in 1999,
ChronoRanger started a Power Rangers site on
geocities. In 1999 he bought a domain name, powerrangersonline.com. PRO
was one of the most popular sites in the fandom, due to its flashy
graphics and such. ChronoRanger left the fandom around 2001 and the PRO
website was shutdown. A few years later I discovered the discussion
form was still around and created a new site. I hoped to get
people to visit the board again. A year later the fake Chrono Ranger
agreed to
pass the torch to me. He returned with a modified version of the PRO
layout. I took the content from my old site and moved it onto the new
PRO. Since Chrono's old content was supposedly lost. When the
fake Chrono wasn't around I brought in Vince Mulligen to work on the
site. Later I found out that the fake Chronoranger wasn't who he said
he was. I was than able to get in touch with the real Chronoranger who
gave me permission to continue.
6. Why are you bringing back PRO? Are you trying to
steal other
people's works?
That is not true at all. I
found the dormant PRO Message Board on a
whim. I used to love visiting the original PRO and thought it would be
a
interesting challenge to bring the board back. I started an original
site called the Power Rangers Online Database. I wasn't trying to use
PRO"s board to get ahead, I really wanted to see it come back to
popularity. When fake Chrono gave me permission to own the board
and bring
back the site, I decided to reopen PRO on this new domain. I did pretty
much
all of the content on this new PRO is my own work anyway. With
the real Chronoranger's permission my right to run the site as PRO has
been officially validated.
7. Can you get me pictures or contact with cast members and the
creators of PR?
The answer is no. As I have
said above I am just a fan. I have no
inside Knowledge of PR beyond what is known throughout the Online
fandom. I can possibly provide you with the mailing information that
has been released to the general public. No promises there either.
8. I'd like to get a job on Power Rangers can you help me out?
As already said, I have
no connetion to Power Rangers or Disney. I have just as much power as
the rest of you. So there is no way I can get anyone a job on the show.
If you want to be an actor I'd recommend taking acting lessons and
getting an agent. If you want to write for the show, start practicing
now. You'd probably wan to get an angent too. Both senarios are
far more complicated then they sound. I am no expert in these fields so
I advise doing comprehensive research if you are interested in
writing/acting. I'd love to have a job on the show too, but its not
easy. And thats an understatement.
