So as we all sit here hoping that Dragon Knight gets picked up, might as well toss out a question.

Mark Wang said that it wouldn't be like PR, but it would still be aimed towards children. Even with that in mind, does anyone think Kamen Rider will be bigger than PR in the states? If a franchise does start up, I'm thinking it may be able to beat out PR in popularity. They're all really nice shows to look at, so that'll earn points with children right off the bat. And that brings up another question, what channel should carry it?

i think the best way for kamen rider to live would be to be picked up by someone like Nickelodean. When they get a show that work they keep and milk it for all it worth while and can put it on there teen nick block as a pre-teen or even teenage action show. That way we can get a great action show for young kids that us 16-22 years olds don't mind see with our little brother's or sisters.

I really don't see Kamen Rider beating Power Rangers with the small kids, PR's just too perfect for them, with the multicolored costumes and the giant robots. But delivered correctly, KR could definitely sell the bigger kids (9-13) with a more thoughtful storyline, and bigger action.

As for a channel, I haven't really seen a specific network for this thing. I'm thinking syndication, like VR Troopers did. That way the producers can afford to be more violent, since there are less censorship issues to deal with outside of official networks.

PR is barely even popular, or as I see in perspective of kids. But lets not jump to far, it hasn't even aired yet.

Not in toy sales, which is what keeps any children's franchise afloat anyway. So I guess if the 13 Rider toys sell like hotcakes, we've got nothing to worry about.

But like you said, we've got a long wait ahead of us. Even if all goes well, we won't see a single result for at least a year.

Footage will be dated a bit by then.

If it does get picked up, when should we expect it to premiere?

Really? I was thinking more like September/October.

I can live with those dates, as long as it's not '08. By then they might as well just move onto Kabuto, or whatever next year's show will be.

With the kind of archiving technology we have now, that's no worry. After all, we made Masked Rider work with six-year-old footage, and there wasn't even digital format back then. Ryuki should still look crisp as ever.
