He seemed to have a mucn different personality. It had to be more than just the suit color change.

I think you started to see him change in season 3. Season 2 just tried too hard to make him Jason lite.

I think they just allowed for the character to become more organic. Instead of forcing him into a leadership role he wasn't suited for. It also seemed like Zeo itself tried to introduce more humor.

He didn't really have a personality before. So they gave him one in Zeo.

It was all part of his butler training.

Very funny. I must say Rocky was also very funny in Zeo.

I think they just gave him a new personality to make him more of his own character.

Adam White Tiger

I think they realized Adam was a better character and made him second in command instead of Rocky.

I think he just came out of his shell and started acting more like himself.

Rocky was very funny and I didn't mind the writers showing that off. But I didn't like how they demoted Rocky to blue.

Rocky was never really the leader, so it wasn't a demotion.

exactly this keep in mind that Season 2 scripts were likely already written for the characters of Zack, Trini and Jason and they likely didn't have time to re-write them so they just replaced the new characters with the old and they obviously never had time to do anything new with Rocky really in Season 3 since it was pretty much the Kimberly season due to her actress leaving.

I think Rocky just came off so much more likeable in Zeo.

Its just the type of character development you get when a character has been around for a few years. Season 2 and 3 Rocky wasn't very interesting.

Rocky was a baffoon from the beginning. It was just more acceptable for him to be that way as Blue.

Zeo Rocky was the best version of the character.

He did seem to act different.

A Gia To Remember

I think its because he didn't really get that much focus as himself until Zeo.

Rocky just wasn't very interesting in any of his incarnations. I didn't buy him as a Jason type leader or the comedic blue. He was just treated like a total joke in the Turbo Movie.

I Think Rocky was always a little comical..

Well Rocky really didn't do that much on his own during MMPR. He only really had a few focus episodes. He was pretty close to Zeo Rocky in the episode where he is teacher for a day.

The writers just took his character in a different direction during Zeo.
